The Kyoto Terry Fox Run 2025 Donation Ceremony was held at the Nitori Hall on October 17, 2025.
The event marked the presentation of donations collected through the charity event “Kyoto Terry Fox Run 2025,” organized by the Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto, to the Cancer Immunotherapy Research Fund.
A commemorative Big Check panel was presented by Ms. Fanny Guibouret, General Manager of the hotel.
In response, Prof. Sidonia Fagarasan, Vice-Director of CCII, expressed gratitude for the donation. She also conveyed her hope that this contribution would mark the beginning of a new collaborative relationship between the Center and the Hotel, fostering deeper cooperation in the future.

What is Terry Fox Run
Born on July 28, 1958, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Terry Fox grew up in Port Coquitlam, near Vancouver. In 1980, after losing his right leg to osteosarcoma, he embarked on the “Marathon of Hope,” running a marathon distance every day across Canada on a prosthetic leg to raise funds for cancer research.
Though his journey was cut short, his courage and determination continue to inspire millions. Today, the Terry Fox Run is held in more than 30 countries, including several cities across Japan. The event welcomes participants of all ages and abilities, emphasizing community spirit rather than competition.
All proceeds are donated to institutions dedicated to advancing cancer research, treatment, and care — uniting participants around the world to support those fighting cancer and to carry forward Terry’s dream of hope for the future.
On September 27, 2025, Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto hosted its second charity event, “Kyoto Terry Fox Run 2025,” was held since its opening. On the day of the event, about 100 people, from children to adults, participated in the running and walking course of about 5 kilometers round trip along the Kamogawa River
