Cancer therapy has continually advanced, allowing many cancer patients to return to years of normal and healthy life. Yet, during 2020, cancer worldwide still accounted for over 10 million deaths, or nearly one in six deaths.

Our Mission
Focused on integrating the various research fields related to cancer biology and immunology, CCII contributes to the conquest of cancer by deepening our understanding of the immune response against cancer in humans, and by applying the knowledge gained to new treatment strategies.

Cancer Immunotherapy Research Fund launched
Kyoto University established a new research fund to support research in cancer immunotherapy.
