Cancer Immunotherapy – International conference jointly organized by Antonio Coutinho and Tasuku Honjo from 8th to 13th May, 2023

The conference focused on the most recent breakthroughs in cancer immunotherapy. Various key questions were addressed: How does the immune system detect and eliminate tumor cells during these treatments? How can current clinical results be improved by increasing the proportion of patients who respond, as well as by decreasing the negative impact of these treatments, in particular autoimmunity? How can we distinguish “responders” from “non-responders” prior to treatment? Furthermore, the conference shed light on research areas that are paving the way for new therapeutic opportunities.
